NW Campus intramural flag football got under way Oct. 11, but two of the scheduled teams were no-shows.
This left two teams, Nico’s Chicos and White Chocolate, without opponents. The teams’ captains agreed with intramural director Ryan Stewart to play a “friendly scrimmage,” and both received wins for their scheduled games. White Chocolate took bragging rights winning the game 28-6.
The other winning team of the day was G.A.T.A., captained by Ricky Jones. G.A.T.A. defeated the Red Team 12-8.
The next round-robin, coed tournament games are scheduled at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Oct. 26-27 on the fields on the far northeast side of the campus. The final date will depend on the number of games required to complete the bracket.
As happened Oct. 11, adjustments will be made for teams that registered but do not show for their allotted time.
