Cadets from the police and firefighter academies as well as TCC faculty and staff remembered 9/11 by participating in their third annual Memorial Run on Sept. 11, 12 years after the attacks.
Participants began the 5K run at the fire tower located in the Criminal Justice Training Center. Volunteers helped hold traffic for runners at crossings and also helped pass out water once runners got to the halfway mark.
Some ran individually while others, such as the firefighter cadets, ran and crossed the finish line together as a platoon. Once they crossed the finish line, they ran up the fire tower and rang the bell as a sign of having completed the run.
