Trinity River Equality in Education, TR Campus’ LGBT organization, will celebrate its own pride week Oct. 7-10.
On Monday, the TR Campus Pride Parade will start in the Main Street hallway 11 a.m.-2 p.m. In the parade, all participating clubs will march down TRTR Main Street.
On Tuesday, pride pins will be passed out from the TREE table on Main Street 12:30-1:30 p.m. Students can make their own pins as a reminder of what makes them proud.
On Wednesday, a mock same-sex wedding will be held in the Zone 1-2 p.m. Activist Mark Jiminez, who was arrested during a protest on gay marriage, will be guest speaker.
On Thursday, the club will have its first drag show 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Zone. Some participants will include club members and faculty. All students are invited to take part in the drag show.
