Oct. 25 For the less athletic, NE Campus offers the Madden Tournament. Players can just show up in the NHPE gym for tournament play, which runs 1-5 p.m. on both PS3 and XBox 360. The winner takes home his/her choice of a Madden 25 game for PS3 or XBox 360. No prior registration is required.
Nov. 1 SE Campus will hold a captain/free agent meeting at 1 p.m. in the gym for those wanting to compete in the Nov. 8 volleyball tournament. Tournament play will begin the next week at 1 p.m. in the gym.
Nov. 2 The TCC community can join the Toro Dash run in Trinity River Park 7:30-9:15 a.m. Discounts are available to TCC students and staff online only. Online registrations are available through pre-registration by Oct. 31 at www.tccd.edu/torodash.com. Students, faculty and staff can also register in person on race day. Nov. 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23 Students who want to participate in the NE flag football tournament must sign up in the NHPE gym by Oct. 31. Students can sign up as teams or as free agents who will be assigned to teams. Tournament play is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays. Participants will meet in the gym and then move outside by the tennis courts for the games. Winning teams continue to the next weekend. Students can stay for free play after the tournament.
Nov. 16 The Gobble Wobble 5K run will take off at 8:30 a.m. at South Campus’ north entry. The cost for TCC students and employees is five cans of nonperishable food, and the cost for non-TCC participants is $15 and five cans of food. Groups of five may enter for $40 and 20 cans of nonperishable foods. Participants will receive a T-shirt. Registration is available online until Nov. 12 or in person in the SHPE building. For online registration, go to http://gobblewobble.athlete360.com. On-site registration will be available, but shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
