A local educator will offer a black culture and consciousness presentation Thursday, Feb. 16, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the SSTU Forum Room on South Campus.
Dr. Pamela Hill is the director of education at The Act of Change, Inc., Institute of Cultural Arts and Scholars Academy.
She has a bachelor’s degree in black instruction from Langston University, a master’s in college teaching, and a doctorate in higher adult education.
As director of education, Hill is one of the builders for the non-profit independent academy in Oak Cliff. The academy instructs grade levels 1-5 and is run by volunteers.
This educational speech will promote cultural awareness for community and encourage understanding on universal connections.
