Time can be a person’s most precious commodity. Students who juggle classes, jobs and family obligations can sometimes find themselves overwhelmed, wishing the day had a few more hours.
Dr. Lily Calzada, NW Campus coordinator of special services, will present Got Time, a time management workshop, to help students get the most out of the time they do have.
The presentation will be Wednesday March 7, in the counseling center, WCTS 110A, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
“ The workshop’s focus will be more philosophical than practical,” she said.
The session will explore what drives an individual, helping them recognize their strengths and using them in time management, Calzada said.
She will also present various types of time management tools or methods so participants can choose what will work for them.
“ Not everything works for everybody,” she said.
However, the presentation is tailored for students using a planner. Calzada will show methods to customize a manufactured planner, such as the one provided by student activities, and to custom make a planner to suit their specific needs.
It is often necessary to try several types of planners to find one that works for an individual, Calzada said.
Refreshments will be served at the presentation.
