The NW visual and performing arts department will sponsor a Composer Forum Dec. 10.
“The forum promotes new music and composers,” music associate professor Eddie Vandewalker said.
Performances include new music and songs or updated arrangements of current pieces.
Traditional and nontraditional instruments may be used.
“The forum is used to bring diversity of music” to the forefront and one of its key objectives is to “promote new music and composers,” Vandewalker said.
People between 18-88 years old can showcase their compositions to family, friends and members of the music community.
The event will start at 3 p.m. in the Recital Hall (WFAB 1105). Admission is free.
Those who want to be included in the forum should contact NW adjunct music instructor Eliza Williams at eliza.williams@tccd.edu to discuss their interest in presenting at the forum.
