NE Campus’ dance companies will showcase a concert called ONE that includes a guest performance.
“This is a big end-of-the-semester event,” NE dance professor Kihyoung Choi said. “It’s diverse, interesting, fun, something that anyone can enjoy, so it’s an invitation to everyone to come out and see what we’ve been working on.”
The Movers Unlimited Touring Dance Company and the NE Dance Company will demonstrate what they have worked on throughout the semester. International Leadership of Texas by the Arlington High School dance company will perform as the special guest.
“We have been working on this since the beginning of the semester, doing rehearsals every Monday and Wednesday from 4-10 p.m. and even getting together during the weekend for extra rehearsal,” said dancer Rosa Hernandez.
The concert will have a variety of hip-hop, jazz, modern, ballet and more that everyone can experience.
“The majority of the Movers Unlimited dances include complex group work,” dancer Lexis Greer said. “There are moments where a dancer is highlighted but we prefer to move as one, hence the title.”
“I’m excited to share the hard work and dedication that each dancer and choreographer has put into creating the pieces for the show,” dancer Shamila Issa said. “There’s diversity throughout the show with each piece being different in its own way.”
Concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 & 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 in the NFAB Theatre.
Tickets are free for TCC students, faculty and staff and $5 for the general public.
Tickets are on sale at business services in NADM 1103E.
