All college students have relationships with different kinds of people whether a family member, friend or significant other. SE counselor Michael Eason will present Healthy vs. Unhealthy Relationships 10-11:20 a.m. Feb. 11 in the North Ballroom on SE Campus.
“People are social beings and are involved in many personal and professional relationships, most of which are healthy and some of which may actually be destructive,” he said.
This workshop will help people distinguish healthy from unhealthy situations. Eason said participants might benefit from the different insights given during the workshop about relationships.
“Healthy relationships are characterized by respect and trust and are based on equality. Unhealthy relationships are based on power and control,” he said.
Eason said the counseling center always gets positive feedback after such workshops.
“After it is all over, you can evaluate your own relationship strengths and skills,” he said.
The free workshop is open to students, faculty and the public. For more information, contact Eason at michael.eason@tccd.edu.
