The SE library and student activities are celebrating National Poetry Month by presenting No End of Vision: Texas as Seen by Two Laureates, an exhibit based on the book by the same name.

No End of Vision resulted from a collaboration between two Texas Poet Laureates, library services assistant director Tracey Minzenmayer said.

The Texas-themed black and white landscape photographs were taken by Karla K. Morton, which inspired Alan Birkelbach’s poetry.

The Texas Poet Laureate distinction is bestowed upon outstanding and recognized poets living in Texas.

Morton was the 2010 laureate while Birkelbach was the 2005 laureate.

Minzenmayer said English instructor Pennie Boyett requested the exhibit be displayed on SE Campus.

During the month of April, students will have access to two copies of the book which are on reserve at the front desk in the library.

After April, the books will be available for checkout.
