NE will host a 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the NHPE gym April 27.
Three to five players are allowed per team, and a team captain must be specified. Players must present a picture ID and be at least 18, and one member of the team must be from TCC with school ID for proof. Parking will be in the lot next to the NHPE building.
To register, participants must pay $50 online at tcchoopfest.athlete360.com with a credit card. Registration ends after 32 teams have signed up.
Team check-in starts at 9 a.m. Pool play begins at 10 a.m. The top teams in each pool play will play in the championship bracket at 2:30 p.m.
Each player receives a reversible basketball jersey, an event athletic bag and an event sweat towel. Winners receive a “champions” T-shirt and get their photos displayed on the TCC Men of Color Mentoring program website.
Sponsors include the Men of Color Mentoring program, NE department of continuing education, NE department of health and physical education, and Evaluate Your Game Inc.
“With the end of the semester coming up,” said Jackie Washington, NE vice president of continuing education services, “I hope students sign up to loosen up before exams to have a great time like we planned.”
