South seminar helps students change bad thoughts to positive

Students can learn the values of self-encouragement in a South Campus presentation tonight.

Health services coordinator Flo Stanton will present Positive Self-Talk at 6 p.m. in the SSTU Forum Room on South Campus.

Stanton said she chose the topic because many students suffer from not encouraging themselves. She plans to bring about an awareness of positive and negative thoughts.

“Turn your negative thoughts into something positive,” she said.

The seminar is for those who struggle with communicating in a positive way or those who have friends with the problem and want to help them.

Stanton suggested students bring a friend and arrive 15 minutes early to get a good seat.

The presentation is sponsored by South Campus health services and the Women in New Roles program. Anyone can attend.
