Extras wanted: Students needed for campus video

TCC is currently seeking students to participate in its newest recruitment campaign.

The district marketing and public relations department is producing a districtwide recruitment video and needs energetic, outgoing students to participate.

“Students will appear as extras and placed in the background as needed,” said Cacy Barnard, coordinator of public information services, public relations and marketing.

Also, preselected students will be interviewed separately speaking about their TCC experiences. Faculty and staff picked the pre-selected students.

The shooting is scheduled to begin Oct. 13 on SE Campus. The camera crew will next shoot on NW Campus Oct. 14 and NE Campus Oct. 15. South and Trinity River campus shoots will be Oct. 26 and 27. Shooting times are between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“A designated faculty or staff member on each campus is coordinating the schedules and can be contacted for more details and specific times,” she said. “It is very important that students who volunteer to participate show up at least 15 minutes before the time they sign up. Filming will be on a tight schedule.”

Barnard said students can sign up as their schedules allow, but should be available for at least an hour at a time. Those who wish to participate for longer periods of time may do so.

The dress code will also be strictly enforced.

“Students should dress appropriately in casual wear. Nice jeans or pants and nice tops such as Polos are appropriate,” she said. “TCC apparel is also welcome.”

Cut-offs, tank tops, baggy and revealing clothing will not be permitted nor clothes with brand logos and graphics.

Students who do not follow the dress code will not be allowed to participate.
