This year’s Conference for Aspiring Women, co-sponsored by South Campus continuing education services and Simply Divine Communications, will include speakers promoting excellence in women.

The April 25 conference will include a continental breakfast, educational sessions, lunch, speakers, a fashion show and door prizes.

“The conference is geared to promote professionalism, economic independence and a social and emotional completeness of women striving for excellence in the workplace and in the family,” Ariel Chriss, director of South Campus continuing education services, said.

Keynote speaker, Sandra Yancey, host of the eWomenNetwork Radio Show and founder of the eWomen Network, will discuss relationship networking.

Other speakers include Danna Diaz Joseph, director of student engagement and school completion at FWISD; Ramona Logan, former NBC/Channel 5 newscaster; Carolyn Brooks, president of Simply Divine Communications; and Sharon Hill, former president of an international marketing corporation.

The fashion show will be hosted by JC Penney at the Parks Mall in Arlington.

Hill, who trained more than 2,000 women at her company, was invited after speaking at several other events and said she was happy to be a part of the conference.

“The speakers all have different backgrounds and are speaking on different topics,” she said.

“It will empower women to succeed and feel better about themselves.”

The conference is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel at 100 Altamesa Blvd. in Fort Worth. The cost is $69 per person.
