SE to fling into spring with annual festivities

SE Campus will usher in spring with Spring Fling on the north lawn, Thursday, April 12, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Students and faculty are invited to participate in the food and games. The Tejas Brothers, a Tex-Mex band, will provide musical entertainment.

Additionally, the SE Campus Police Department is hosting its eighth annual Crime Prevention and Safety Awareness Fair, co-sponsored by the Arlington Police Department.

Sgt. Ralph Jeffries said the fair will include metroplex police and fire departments, members from the Dallas branch of the FBI, MADD and others.

Roadway Express Trucking will bring a vehicle to show drivers where a trucker’s blind spots are and how to maneuver safely around the big rigs.

Display booths will be set up in the Commons for students and faculty to meet with different agencies and learn what services they provide.

“ The fair gives the public an opportunity to see where their tax dollars are going and to ask public safety officials questions,” he said.

Spring Fling will have hot dogs, chips and drinks available for $1.
