Included are photos and testimonials from staff and faculty on the importance of the women’s rights movement. March 6-April 3 Works by artists Pamela Sunstrum, currently of Johannesburg, South Africa, and Kim Anno of California will be on display in the Carillon Gallery on South Campus. An opening night reception will be 6-8 p.m. in the gallery in Joe B. Rushing Center for the Performing Arts. The gallery is open by appointment only. March 26 Clips from the film Wonder Women: The Untold Story of American Superheroines, which explains how powerful women have been portrayed in the media and society’s anxieties about women’s liberation, will be discussed 12:50-2:20 p.m. in SE’s Judith J. March 27 Makers: Women Who Make America, a continuing education course free for students, meets 6-9 p.m. in SACB 1210 on South Campus. Students will learn about the struggle women faced to gain a more equal position in their homes, work, education and political areas. The course is open to the community. March 29 The 14th annual Women’s Symposium Enhancing Our World Through Service will be held 8:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the SSTU Living Room, Student Center and Dining Hall on South Campus. The event will present more than 35 vendors and displays, networking opportunities and Fort Worth Judge Bobbie Edmonds as featured speaker.
