Love can be a complicated and stressful topic, which is why NW Campus is offering the Love Conference: Surviving the Wrecking Ball of Love to help students.
Zachary Frohlich, NW speech instructor, has arranged for 12 speakers (counselors, students, faculty, community members) to discuss different topics on love where students usually need the most help.
This conference will take place 9:30 a.m-2 p.m. April 29 in WSTU 1303/05 and WACB 1123 on NW Campus.
“As a communication instructor for the last 10 years, the topic of relationships and love have been something I’ve always enjoyed talking about in and out of the classroom,” Frohlich said.
Four panels will cover different topics: Surviving a Break-up, Surviving Single Parenthood, Surviving Hurt and Surviving Separation. The conference will consist of panelists who talk 10-15 minutes each on their topics and will give students time for a Q-and-A.
The Love Conference will end with a keynote address by NW psychology instructor Jay Green at 12:30 p.m. in WSTU 1303/05 over Love and Attachment: A Survival Guide for Intimate Relationships.
The conference is open to any student, especially those struggling in one of these areas needing advice. Frohlich believes that any student can benefit from this conference.
“We just want students to be able to take something away that can benefit their personal lives,” he said. “If we have chaos in our personal lives, everything else struggles — work and school included.”
