The dance exhibition A Short Evening of Tall Dancin’ will be on NE Campus Nov. 3 in the NFAB Theater.

The dance exhibition includes dancers from all four campuses, a first-time event for TCC.

“ In addition to student performers, professional and semi-professional troupes from around the metroplex will also be performing,” Tara Munjee, assistant professor of dance on NE Campus, said.

The dance companies featured in this event are Kinetics from NE Campus, Mosaic from NW Campus, Velocity from South Campus and adjunct faculty member Erin Mallar will represent SE Campus.

Munjee said the dance performance will feature many different styles of popular dance, from jazz to hip hop.

“ As a showcase, there will be something to appeal to every taste,” she said.

Admission is free, but a $5 donation is welcomed. Proceeds from the event go to the American College Dance Festival Scholarship Fund.

The National College Dance Festival is a biennial event that selects from different regions in the U.S. Its 13th festival will be June 4-6 in New York City.

“ We hope to send NE dance students to ACDF for the first time this February,” Munjee said.
