Office for students

College students are being offered an opportunity to buy Microsoft Office Ultimate, a software program normally sold for $679.95, for the amazingly low price of $59.95.

The promotion lasts until April 30 and includes the newest versions of the most popular student-used applications such as Word, Power Point, Groove, OneNote and Excel plus lots of other goodies.

In order to qualify for the promotion, students must register with a valid educational institution e-mail ending in .edu, like those issued through Campus Cruiser, and be a part- or full-time student at the time of purchase.

Purchase is limited to one per e-mail and billing address.

Product keys will be provided on the confirmation page as well as sent to the registered e-mail address to use with the software, which can be either downloaded or received by mail.

Microsoft said the promotion was established in response to student surveys that showed that only 3-5 percent of students have legally registered copies of Office.
