South workshop stresses laughter

By Edna Horton/reporter

Laughing can alleviate stress and improve overall health, the South Campus health services coordinator believes.

Flo Stanton will give an interactive, PowerPoint presentation Laughing Your Way Through Stress, 6 p.m. April 1 in the SSTU Forum Room on South Campus.

Stanton’s goal is to promote one’s health by discussing stress and the benefits of laughter to manage stress.

Her presentation includes increasing awareness about the attitudes and feelings toward laughter, increasing knowledge about the benefits of laughter, providing an opportunity to laugh and promoting laughter through everyday life.

Laughing Your Way Through Stress is the third and final speech in the Health Forum Series Stanton makes in collaboration with the Women in New Roles classes.

The free event is open to all TCC students.
