Now-Oct. 9 Student artwork entered in the Trinity River Art Show is on display 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on TRTR Main Street on TR Campus. Students can vote on the artwork once per day, and the winner will be announced at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 9 during the Hispanic Heritage Festival. Now-Oct. 12 Theatre Northwest presents an adaptation of Mark Twain’s classic The Adventures of Tom Sawyer for its first production of the semester. The play features adventure, first love and the joys and mischief childhood brings. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8-11 with a 2 p.m. matinee Oct. 12. Now-Oct. 31 The NW visual arts department presents Greg Reuter: Bronze Sculpture in the Lakeview Gallery (WFAB 1135A). Drawing inspiration from the beach near his Corpus Christi home, Reuter’s exhibit features bronze wall and pedestal pieces. Open to the public, gallery hours are 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Oct. 15-18 The SE Campus theater program will bring the play Around the World in 80 Days to campus, directed by Pert Durapau. Oct. 16-Nov. 20 SE Campus’ art program will present Fine Arts Faculty Biennial Exhibit in Art Corridor II. Students can see art pieces made by TCC faculty. An opening reception will be held 4-6 p.m. Oct. 16 in the corridor.

Oct. 22-25 The SE drama program will host the Texas I Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival 8 a.m.-10 p.m. in the C.A. Roberson Theater. The festival will have two productions a day with critique sessions and workshops. Participants include Angelo State University, Sul Ross University, Texas Southern University, Texas Wesleyan University, NW Campus and SE Campus.
