Financial goal-setting explained in seminar series on NE Campus

NE students learned to make successful financial goals Nov. 12.

Academic advisor Amy Reece presented Setting Goals: Getting There, part of a financial literacy series.

Participants followed in their Setting Goals workbook, which includes an FAQ section on financial goals.

“Making your goals specific will help you achieve them,” Reece said.

Reece explained the importance of priorities and trade-offs in regards to financial goals. She said a savings fund can help when unexpected or expensive events occur in one’s life.

“I encourage students to take advantage of all the financial seminars,” she said. “There’s a lot of good information.”

The next session, Before You Leave: Exit Counseling for Student Borrowers, will be at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 20 in NBSS 1103 on NE Campus.
