Now-April 25 Theatre Southeast presents Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest at 7:30 p.m. April 22-25 and 1:30 p.m. April 24-25 in the Roberson Theatre (ESEC 1401). The satirical comedy depicts life and social classes in Victorian England. Admission is free for TCC students, faculty and staff, $3 for non-TCC students and seniors and $6 for the general public. The box office opens an hour before showtime. Now-April 29 Entries from the NE Campus Annual Spring Student Art competition are on display in the Haltom City Northeast Center at 3201 Friendly Lane. A reception is scheduled 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the center.

Now-May 5 NW’s art department holds its annual juried Student Art Show in the Lakeview Gallery during normal school hours. The exhibit features the works of art students from all types of media. For more, contact art associate professor Fred Spaulding at 817-515-7557.

Now-May 8 The SE Carrier Library presents Ashworth Elementary School Art Gallery. The young artists will celebrate and share art they created throughout the school year at a reception 6-7 p.m. April 22 in the Library classroom (ESED 1212). April 28 The Amon Carter Museum: The Stories Behind the Pictures will be presented 3-4:50 p.m. in South’s library. A librarian from the Amon Carter Museum will speak about the research library and the history behind some of the museum’s pieces. April 29-May 2 The Wedding Singer: The Musical will open at 7 p.m. with additional performances at 2 p.m. on the 1st in NE’s NFAB theater. Based on the Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer is a musical comedy set in the ’80s and centers around wedding singer Robbie Hart’s journey to find love after being left at the altar by his fiancée.
