NE Campus’ Ping Pong Club will host a tournament at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 3 in Darlage Center Corner (NSTU 1615A).

With an entry fee of $5, club president Adrian Rodriguez encourages those interested to sign up early.

“The entry fee is a part of a fundraiser to buy newer ping-pong equipment,” he said. “It’ll go to help the club as well.”

Rodriguez hopes the fees can help the club fund barriers to go around all the tables.

The structure of the tournament will be two tiered. If enough people sign up, it won’t be single elimination, but the two tiers, primary and secondary, both have cash prizes.

The tournament will be structured in two tiers with cash prizes for both the primary and secondary winners.

“Primary’s first prize is $50, and the secondary first prize will be $25,” Rodriguez said.

The players’ performance in the preliminary rounds will determine which tier they will enter.

“We just want everyone to have a chance to pick up a paddle and just go,” Rodriguez said.

The club will also host another tournament 1-4 p.m. Nov. 23 in the same location.
