The ASK gatekeeper training program will hold a presentation Feb. 22 to teach students how to recognize suicide risk factors and use proper resources.
Christopher Hunt, NE Campus veterans counselor, will be the speaker for the event.
“I want to normalize the conversation,” he said. “In other words, I don’t want to normalize suicide. I want to make it OK to talk about because it’s happening.”
A licensed professional counselor and a Desert Storm veteran himself, Hunt has been working with veterans on NE for one year.
The presentation will be held 12:30-2 p.m. in the Community Room (NBSS 1103) on NE Campus.
