The arrival of fall also means seasonal festivals at several TCC campuses.
NE Campus will host a Wizard of Oz-themed Fall Fest 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 25.
NE student development associate Michelle Taylor said campus clubs and organizations will attend along with community nonprofits.
Taylor said Fall Fest allows students to meet different groups on campus.
“It’s a great way for students to connect with each other, faculty and staff along with the community,” she said.
South Campus’ Fall Fest will be 12:30-2 p.m. Oct. 26 and have a carnival theme.
Student organizations will provide activities, and the Cornerstone honors degree program will host its annual costume contest for students.
South student activities coordinator Ana Garcia said the festival promotes clubs on campus.
“It lets other people know about student organizations and student activities,” Garcia said.
TR Campus will host a Trick-or-Treat Down Main Street 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 27. Student clubs and organizations will pass out candy at their tables to students and the community.
TR assistant director of student development services Eddie Brassart said the event encourages student clubs and organizations to provide services to the campus community.
“It provides a safe space for the community to come to Trinity River to trick-or-treat,” he said.
SE Campus will host its Fall Fest 5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 31. The theme is “Pumpkin-palooza.” Free food will be provided, and students can play carnival games at the event.
SE student development associate Frankie Ward said the festival shows inclusiveness between the campus and the community.
“It’s a great way to show TCC’s involvement in the community,” Ward said.
