Now-Nov. 20 NE Campus students can apply for a distinguished student scholarship of $416 to be used for tuition and books for spring 2013. Students must have been enrolled in the fall 2012 semester and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Applications are available through faculty, department chairpersons and the financial aid office. Thirty-six scholarships will be awarded.
Now–Nov. 26 NW students can apply for the outstanding achievement awards, which pay up to $200 in tuition and fees to recipients for the 2013 spring semester. A total of 45 awards are being offered through 16 areas and are based on academic excellence and class, campus and community participation. Nov. 14 The SE Campus writing center will have an APA documentation workshop 6-7 p.m. in ESEE 2225. Students can get information about creating a works cited page and APA-style formatting including in-text citations, header and title page. Nov. 14-15 The NW Creative Voice Symposium will feature presentations by humanities students during two sessions: 9:30-10:50 a.m. and 11 a.m.-12:20 p.m. The symposium will be in WSTU 1303/1305 Nov. 14 and in the Michael Saenz Conference Center (WACB 1123) Nov. 15.
