World War I book club

“A Place for all People” exhibit

TR Campus will display “A Place for all People” all month in the Idea Store. Part of the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibit, the posters honor the history and contributions African-Americans have made to society as well as explore their culture. Spoken Word discussion

Spoken Word will run 11 a.m.-noon in the Idea Store on TR Campus. Author and performance poet Michael Guinn will lead a discussion on the contribution and impact poetry has had on African-American culture and its use in preserving and chronicling African-American history. Fort Worth cites tour

Students can explore Fort Worth cites central to the African-American experience in Fort Worth’s past noon-2:30 p.m. Tarrant County Black Historical and Genealogical Society president Sarah Walker will lead the tour, which is free for TCC students, faculty and staff.
