Six teams battled Oct. 23 in the second week of the NE Campus intramural co-ed soccer season.
In the first game, J4F beat last year’s campus finalist FC-Zizo 4-3.

“Last year, we went to the championship game, and I want to do it again,” said FC-Zizo player Adam Tabbara, who has played soccer since the third grade.

FC-Zizo won its game last week, but players said this game gave them more of a challenge.

“This is my first game of the season,” said FC-Zizo player Adar Tovar, who has played soccer more than 10 years.

“I like playing and haven’t in a while. It gets me in shape.”

Both teams scored two goals in the first half, not giving up an inch. But in the second half, FC-Zizo could not step up its game to keep its undefeated record for this season. J4F scored the winning goal in the last five minutes of the game.

“J4F had a better defense,” Tabbara said.

In other NE games, team Barcelona beat the Fanatics 2-1, and the Wildcats beat TCC United 7-4.

This week’s games start at 12:45 p.m. Oct. 30.
