As part of a series of seminars on student success, a former TCC counselor will present Time Management Oct. 26 on South Campus.
Suzie Carranza, now an adjunct instructor for Transition to College Success, will give students advice on how to use time wisely. The one-hour presentation begins at 11 a.m. in the SSTU Texas Room.
At the beginning of the seminar, Carranza will have students take an assessment to see what kind of time managers they are. Then, Carranza will give them tips on different ways to use time to their advantage.
Carranza will also discuss how time management is different for full-time and part-time students.
“Some students take six to nine hours, and some take 12 to 15, and all only still have 24 hours in a day to get what they need to get done,” she said. “Students will realize how little time they actually have.”
She will discuss how to manage distractions in one’s everyday life, particularly TV, friends, the Internet and napping.
