Things got interesting at the South Campus intramural flag football season finale Nov. 18.
Undefeated Team Savage started the day with two games scheduled and looked to cruise to a campus championship, but the journey was more difficult than anticipated. Team Savage lost its first game of the season, 25-24, to The Soldiers, making its next game against G-Series huge.
G-Series entered play with one loss as well, effectively making the last game of the season a championship game.
The game started off with back-to-back completions from quarterback Steven Guy to wide receiver Geraud Williams. The second was a 43-yard touchdown to put Team Savage ahead 6-0. From then on, it was all Team Savage as it went on to win, 25-6.
Guy finished with four touchdowns, 228 yards passing and 42 yards rushing, most of which came on critical third-down plays.
