Trinity River Campus will present Money Management — Budgets with speaker Danny Wilson from the Texas Trust Credit Union.
The workshop is for everybody — students, faculty and staff — and is designed to teach how to manage money by creating a budget, how to stick to the budget and how to get the most out of all paychecks.
Colleen Fitzpatrick, student development coordinator, hopes attendees learn something new about budgeting.
“Whether they learn how to create a budget, how to stick to one or if they only find out why they can’t make their money last until the next pay period, I think the workshop is a success,” she said.
The presenters are knowledgeable, and students have said great things about the workshops on evaluations they fill out, she said.
They are presenting another workshop April 29 in which the EECU will discuss Money Management – Credit Cards and Credit Scores.
The free workshop, a collaboration of the Center for Academic Success and the Student Life Center, is open to all students, faculty and staff in the Discover Room (TRTR 3102) noon-1 p.m. A light lunch will be provided.
