The NE Campus will team up with the Battered Women’s Shelter of Fort Worth for this year’s production of theVagina Monologues. The two performances are Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 9-10, at 7 p.m.
The monologues were first performed in colleges in 1998 to raise awareness of the violence and injustice that women are subjected to. The monologues gradually became a pledge to continue performances until violence has ended.
Admission is a $10 donation to the shelter. The group is hoping to top last year’s $11,000 in donations.
Auditions for the Vagina Monologues will be Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. in the NFAB Theatre. Anyone may audition, and no theater background is required.
