NE Campus students looking to get a leg up on the competition in the job market have the opportunity to find out what TCC can do for them.
The NE Campus Career Center will host an open house 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 11 in NSTU 1625.
The event, second in the center’s Keys to Success calendar for this semester, will give students information on how the center can help them in the job market.
“ The center is a free service for TCC students,” said Vicki McCleery, senior office assistant.
“ There will be a short orientation about the services we can provide,” she said. “There will also be a short list of books on topics such as internships and how to write resumes. ”
The center offers several resources and services to current and former students, McCleery said. Students can access a Web-based job search and resume posting system from off campus, find on-campus student assistant positions, use the Job Resource Lab for job searches and career-related materials.
“ We provide an open house service so we can reach out to those students that haven’t discovered us yet, as well as for those who already have, so they can see what’s new with us,” she said.
