An outreach performance of Hamlet by NE Campus’ drama program will be held March 2.
Jakie Cabe, NE drama associate professor, has taken the part as assistant director as well as the role of the ghost of Hamlet’s father in the production.
“Our goal is to keep Shakespeare relevant,” he said. “Hamlet is just one of those great plays, and we hadn’t done it yet. We have a couple of people we thought would rock in certain roles.”
For 22 years, Cabe has taught acting on multiple TCC campuses. He’s also taught Intro to Theatre, Stagecraft and classes in improv and voice for the theater.
TCC and high school students can attend the performance at 9:30 a.m. in the NE Playhouse (NFAB 1205).
