Students can receive advice on basic financial planning at the Financial Literacy seminar on NE Campus.
Academic advisor Randy Saleh will speak with students and faculty at 12:30 p.m. March 6 in Center Corner (NSTU 1615) about how to properly manage money and plan for the future.
“Most people live in a world of make believe when it comes to personal financing,” he said, “when really about 70 percent of Americans are just one paycheck away from financial chaos.”
Saleh will give students advice as to how to plan a budget, start a savings account and prepare for emergencies. He will also look at what is usually a major concern of many students: how they will pay off their debts.
Lunch will be provided for all who attend. To register for the seminar, visit http://tccdne.volunteerhub.com.
