Students can register for wintermester and begin spring priority registration starting Nov. 15.
Priority enrollment depends on a student’s number of hours. The more credits students have, the sooner they can register for classes. To be eligible for priority registration, students must be enrolled in classes this semester. Open registration begins Nov. 22.
Students can register for classes on WebAdvisor 6 a.m.-11:59 p.m. daily and can pay tuition until 1 a.m. All unpaid classes are dropped nightly.
Before signing up for classes, students are encouraged to speak with an academic advisor or counselor.
“It’s good to check in with an advisor. You’ll never know if you have a hold on your account,” NW counselor Lisa Allison said. “Some students will be getting an email, but others might be surprised when they try to register.”
All first-time college students must speak to an academic advisor twice during their first semester or a hold will be placed on their accounts, and they can’t register for the second.
“They’ll have to come in or at least call to talk to their advisor to get that hold up,” Allison said.
Students are also urged to consult their academic advisors about their degree plans to ensure they’re taking the appropriate courses or signed up for the proper prerequisites.
“A lot of time students are looking at outdated degree plans or have changed their mind about what they want to do,” she said.
