Anita Peters, NE Campus counselor, said she will help students better understand learning and attention disabilities in themselves and in others.
“I will explain reading, mathematics and written expression learning disorders as well as attention disorders and talk about how individuals can be successful in college and in life,” she said.
Peters, a member of the Learning Disabilities Association of Texas and of America, is a licensed professional counselor.
Students, faculty and staff who attend this presentation not only will be able to distinguish between the two disabilities but can inform others as well, Peters said.
The presentation will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Center Corner (NSTU 1615) on NE Campus.
Karen Raulerson of student activities said those attending must RSVP before Oct. 25 to receive the food being offered.
