NW Campus career and employment services will host the Spring 2008 Job Fair from Tuesday, March 11, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in WSTU 1303.
At least 25 companies will have booths set up. Participating companies include FedEx, RadioShack, Washington Mutual, Texas National Guard and the City of Fort Worth.
Many employers have part-time and full-time job opportunities available as well as seasonal positions.
LuAnn Krey, NW coordinator for career and employment services, urges students to attend even if they already have a job.
“There is a common misconception about job fairs that only entry-level jobs are available, and that’s wrong,” she said. “Many companies participating in the job fair are looking for accountants or salesmen with experience. If nothing else, job fairs are a great way to brush up on interviewing skills.”
Anyone interested in attending must bring a resume and come dressed appropriately.
“Another thing students should do, if they know what they are applying for, is to do some research on the company,” she said. “Hirings on the spot are not unheard of.”

One added feature of the day: the Texas National Guard is bringing the new model of the Hummer H1.
