NE to recognize student achievements

By Gary Collins/managing editor

NE Campus will have its annual Awards and Recognition Ceremony at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the NSTU Center Corner.

The event each spring recognizes students in several areas for their contributions to their individual departments or organizations as well as being named to Who’s Who.

Students and their families are encouraged to attend to receive recognition and certificates.

Along with the nominated students receiving awards for their academic records, many will be recognized for their contributions to campus life.

The ceremony is free and will include refreshments.

The reception and honoree registration begins at 6 p.m.

Diane Enger and Strings Plus will provide entertainment, followed by the TCC Jazz Band under the direction of Philippe Baugh.

Enger, instructor of music on NE Campus, is a favorite for NE audiences for her country/western music. She and her group have performed for several campus and district occasions.

Baugh, instructor of music, and the band will provide musical background throughout the ceremony.
