Jolynn Sprole, a South Campus financial aid director, is presenting Financial Aid for College Success, a hands-on approach to financial aid. The free presentation is 11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, in the South Campus Student Center.
“ Many students qualify for financial aid,” she said. “But because they hear rumors on campus, they don’t even apply.”
Sprole will present students with an overview of financial aid at TCC. She said the program will provide students with information about grants, loans and scholarships. She also said she will discuss the formula used to determine if students will be considered in need of federal assistance.
“ A lot of scholarships go unawarded because nobody applies for them,” she said.
Sprole said she will help students who wish to obtain money for college, and address the myths and facts of applying for and receiving financial aid
Financial Aid for College Success is sponsored by Women in New Roles Community Seminar Series. WINR is a program to assist women returning to school by counseling and helping them succeed in college.
