The spring weather means it’s time for the NE Campus 6-on-6 soccer tournament.
The annual event will begin at 2 p.m. April 2 and 4 next to the tennis courts.
“Students can sign up as a team or as free agents,” said NE health and physical education instructor Laura Bradford. “The sign-up sheet will be on the front desk in the basketball gym.”
Teams must consist of no more than six members. Free agents will be assigned to a team.
NE student Aamer Queshi is helping to organize the tournament and expects a big turnout.
“We have a lot of people asking about soccer,” he said. “For most of the other sports, we don’t get many questions before the registration starts.”
Staff will referee the round-robin tournament, and the winners will receive free intramural T-shirts.
A captain/free agent meeting will be held before the tournament with more information available during registration.
