One of the longest-running games on NE Campus is returning soon.
The campus will be having a racquetball tournament on Friday, Oct. 19.
In addition to being one of the longest-running campus activities, it’s also one of the most strenuous.
“ Racquetball is a very vigorous sport,” Kevin Harper, NE HPE instructor said.
“ It’s pretty intense, especially if you keep a rally going.”
A major reason for this is the sudden flurry of activity during a game.
“ It’s short bursts of intense activity followed by a few seconds of rest,” he said.
The sport has deep roots at TCC, as well.
“ The racquetball courts have been here since 1968 when the campus opened,” Harper said. “There used to be a racquetball intramural league.”
Additionally, NE Campus offers two racquetball classes for students.
