Beginning in late October, accessing the May Owen Center will be increasingly difficult as the City of Fort Worth forges ahead with the redevelopment of Lancaster Street in downtown.
The westbound lanes of Lancaster just south of the district offices will be closed and rerouted onto Jones Street, which is just east of and perpendicular to Houston and Throckmorton Streets.
Eastbound Lancaster Street will remain open, but drivers may have difficulty turning north because some of the side streets will also be closed.
Parts of westbound Lancaster west of the May Owen Center will be usable, but ramp access to Interstate 30 from westbound Lancaster at Lamar Street also will be closed.
Drivers will need to take Presidio or Summit Avenue to get on I-30.
