NE students can enter their creative literature into the English department’s biannual writing competition.
Students have until Nov. 10 to submit their work to the website http://undertheclocktower.submittable.com. Winners and some runners-up can have their work published in the campus’ literary magazine Under the Clock Tower.
Competitors can submit up to four poems that are two to 60 lines, 200-3,000 words of short fiction, 200-3,000 words of short nonfiction and video essays or poems kept under four minutes.
The judges are looking for vivid and imaginative language, images and sensory details and scenes with dialogue.
