Now-Feb. 28 Anything but Pots is on display in the J. Ardis Bell Library on NE Campus. Ceramics students have displayed their creations in a nontraditional way by making a variety of different pieces. For more information, contact art adjunct instructor Mary Becker at 817-515-6833.

Now-Feb. 28 Romeo and Juliet opens at 7 p.m. with additional performances at 2 p.m. on the 28th in the NFAB theater on NE Campus. Romeo and Juliet is William Shakespeare’s classic tragedy about two star-crossed lovers whose deaths reconcile an ancient feud among their families. The play is directed by drama associate professor Stephen Thomas. Tickets are free to TCC students, faculty and staff, $6 for general admission and $3 for seniors and other students. Now-March 2 The NE Campus Photography Staff and Faculty Biennial exhibit is in College Hall (NCAB 1111). Faculty and other staff members’ photographs are on display. Open to the general public, the exhibit is available during normal school hours. Now-March 26 Eduardo Aguilar: 4 Decades of Art will be presented at NW Lakeview Gallery (WFAB 1135) and TR Connections Gallery (East Fork Building, level one). The exhibits will feature Aguilar’s work from his 40 years as an artist with some of his paintings, drawings and sculpture. The galleries are open to the public during normal school operating hours.

Feb. 26 A Preparatory Piano Recital will take place 7:30-8:30 p.m. in College Hall (NCAB 1111) on NE Campus. Students from the Preparatory Piano Program, grades one-12, will perform a variety of piano pieces from different eras. March 2 The Brock McGuire Band will perform 7-8:30 p.m. in the Larry Darlage Center Corner (NSTU 1615A) on NE Campus. This traditional Irish band will sing and play many instruments including the mandolin and banjo. March 3 The Sonata Club will sponsor the Piano Duet Honors Recital 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Larry Darlage Center Corner (NSTU 1615A) on NE Campus. Students K-12 will perform piano duets for judges. March 3-7 The SE drama program will present A Piece of My Heart at 7:30 p.m. with additional 1:30 p.m. shows March 5-6 in the Blackbox Theatre (ESEE 1316). A Piece of My Heart is based on the true stories of six women who went to Vietnam during the war. The play is rated PG-13, so it is not recommended for children. Admission is free for TCC students, faculty and staff, $3 for non-TCC students and seniors and $6 for the general public. March 5-7 Theatre Northwest will present Shorts: An Evening of Ten-Minute Plays 7:30 p.m. March 5-6, and 2 p.m. March 7 in Theatre Northwest (WTLO 1108). Shorts will feature a variety of 10-minute plays with different playwrights and styles. Admission is free for TCC students, faculty and staff, $3 for non-TCC students and seniors and $6 for the general public. For tickets, contact the box office at 817-515-7724. March 6 NEPSSA: Art Sale will take place 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Larry Darlage Center Corner (NSTU 1615A) on NE Campus. Students, faculty and staff can display and sell their artwork. Twenty percent of the sales will go to NEPSSA. March 6 NW faculty and guest artists will perform Merge at 7:30 p.m. in the dance studio (WHPE 1103). The performers feature faculty members from various campuses as well as guest dance companies. Admission is free for TCC faculty and staff, $1 for students with an ID and $5 for the general public. The performance will be followed by a poolside reception with live music.
