The grand opening event for NW Campus’ new disc golf course took place April 1-2.

Event coordinators Jay and Desiree Reading began the day’s program by introducing and demonstrating the sport of disc golf.

After a free lunch provided by the NW kinesiology department, participants were invited to rent or purchase discs and have an open play session on the course.

The Professional Disc Golf Association held a C-Tier Tournament April 2.

The tournament with 77 players was broken up into eight different skill levels.

Jay Reading won the open division with a score of 92. Zane Letts took the advanced category with 96. Ingrid Hajek won the advanced women with 121. Darren Romo led the advanced masters round with 105. Lloyd Sitkoff won the advanced grandmasters with 104. Hunter Hull won the intermediate with 103. Jeremy Clark took the recreational with 115, and Todd Farley won the novice with 65.
