An intramural basketball tournament will start at 3:30 p.m. March 5 in the WHPE gym on NW Campus.
Any TCC student, faculty or staff member can compete in the free tournament. People can form their own teams or sign up individually. Teams must have between four and six members and name one captain.
The length of the tournament will depend on how many teams sign up to compete.
“[Participation] varies. Basketball is usually one of the better ones,” said physical and health education instructional associate Sarah Matlock. “It just kind of fluctuates, but we hope to have quite a few this year.”
Captains must attend a meeting Feb. 28 in WHPE 1113 to discuss the rules, the times of each game and the design of the bracket.
Students may sign up in either WHPE or in front of the bookstore in WSTU.
The winning team will receive intramural champion T-shirts. For more information, call health and physical education instructor Ryan Stewart at 817-515-7191.
