The NW spring choir concert will be held at 7 p.m. April 29 at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church in Fort Worth.
“We’ve gotten too big for the recital hall,“ accompanist Echo Wilson said.
Adjunct music instructor Patricia Bedford, who directs the choir, said the concert will include a variety of styles including jazz, contemporary, classical and romantic. One piece, “Omnes gentes plaudit minibus,” will feature a brass quartet “in the true style of high renaissance,” she said.
Bedford said the choir is open to all students, and experience is not required to join.
“Some students have been here before. Some are new,” Bedford said. “Right now, we have quite a few who carried over from other semesters. Every semester, we start on a new repertoire.”
The concert is free and will last about an hour.
