Last month, nursing students and faculty on South Campus donated more than 50 pounds of medical supplies and food to the Pounds for Haiti drive.
“Pounds for Haiti was an exceptional drive that allowed us to contribute to a nation in dire need of help,” said Texas Nursing Student Association president Michelle Smith.
Smith said she was excited about the experience as well as the turnout.
“The experience was very rewarding, and the turnout was amazing,” she said. “I think it’s nice to be able to organize and donate to those in need.”
The TNSA organization and faculty members headed the drive.
